Attachments

This tool is used to open, extract, add and delete file attachments to/from PDF files. This is a standard feature of PDF documents and by mean of this it is possible to attach any kind of files (text, audio, images, other PDF files, etc.) to a PDF. Later, we can easily access, extract or delete these files.

This feature is very useful to attach the original documents used to create the PDF or any other data files to complement the PDF document content.

The tool, when invoked in single file mode, can also search for other embedded files. This are files that are also embedded in the PDF, used by other PDF functionaries such as embedded audio, video and flash animations, but are not marked as attachments. These files, if found, are shown in the embedded named tab.
