Date fields are already sortable, but indeed I need to add the possibility to change the date format or, at least, use the defined in the regional settings instead of the fixed format as now.
You can even define custom date fields, using the
custom fields settings editor. Just make sure you set the "data type" field to the "date" type. You also need to create a
grid layout, in order to show that field column in the grid and set its "data type" to the "DateTime" type.
